The Little Reader Program is a half day literacy program for preschoolers which develops cognitive skills and fosters a love for learning. Oxford’s enriched academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, music as well as weekly science, french, and craft activities.

Only candidates with and E.C.E. Diploma (or Letter of Equivalency from the Association of Early Childhood Educators will be considered).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • E.C.E. diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years post diploma experience in a child care setting preferred
  • preschool experience and expertise is an asset
  • Experience developing and implementing pre-school program plans
  • Computer literacy skills are an asset
  • Able to work flexible hours (between 9am – 6.00pm)
  • Able to effectively work in a cohesive team setting and independently (demonstrated leadership skills)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and management
  • Knowledge of City Criteria and Ministry legislation requirements and standards
